Overview
City Quest is a location-based mobile game that sends players real-world exploration challenges around their city—visit a neighborhood you've never seen, try a recommended local restaurant, find a hidden spot—and rewards them with badges and progress toward "City Legend" status. Players can invite friends to complete quests together. The product is live and fully playable today with 38 verified Boston quests across three categories (Explore, Eat, Find), real user accounts with sign-in persistence, and a complete progression system. A buyer receives a finished, working product ready to package as a native app and submit to app stores, plus the full quest content library with sources.

City Quest — Plan
What we're building
City Quest is a city exploration game: it hands players real-world challenges around their city — walk a neighborhood you've never seen, try a local restaurant, find a hidden spot — and rewards them with badges and progress toward "City Legend" status, with friends able to play alongside.
Launch city: Boston (owner's decision). We go deep on one city rather than wide across many — a Boston player should be able to open the app and find quests they can actually go do this weekend.
Where the product stands
Live and playable on our published site: 38 real Boston quests (Explore 12, Eat 12, Find 14), each pinned to a real place with a source behind it; a player is created automatically on first visit; badges and a progress meter toward City Legend; and real accounts with sign-in, so progress follows a person rather than a browser. The whole loop — sign up, play, sign out, sign back in and get your badges back — was verified end to end on the live URL by the lead, on the live site, not just in a local build.
