App for android like PayPal and cash alp
Mission
North of June
What we're building
A Cash App/Venmo-style peer-to-peer money app — renamed from Sendly to match the owner's LLC: sign up with a unique handle, add friends, send and request money, keep a balance, and browse transaction history — delivered as a responsive, mobile-first web app, with an Android app built from the same codebase (Capacitor). All money movement runs on an internal demo ledger, clearly labeled; no real money moves yet.
Current focus
- Brand rename (Sendly → North of June, owner decision): app display name, web copy, logo/assets being updated by the team; store listing copy and screenshot sets refresh afterward (same package name com.sendly.app and keystore — uploads and signing chain unchanged). Android store distribution continues under the new name.
- Android distribution (Samsung Galaxy Store, Amazon Appstore, Uptodown — Android-only by owner decision): all prep is done and production-verified — signed upload keystore, release AAB + APK, per-store screenshot sets, honest "demo ledger" listing copy, submission sheet. Remaining steps are the owner's on the store consoles (Samsung AAB upload → Amazon APK + device-testing report → Uptodown APK); listing copy will be updated with the new name before submissions finalize.
- Real payments rail — moving from research to execution. Research grounded in provider/regulator primary sources concluded: US P2P money movement is money transmission with no activity threshold, and Stripe explicitly prohibits P2P transmission / money transmitters / neobanks / stored value — so the only realistic solo path is a (debit the sender's linked US bank → credit the recipient's linked US bank over ACH/RTP), with the Venmo-style stored wallet deferred to a later phase. The owner greenlit starting this path; Still owner-side: obtain EIN, open a US business bank account in the entity's name, gather owner KYB documents, and confirm scope intake. Team integration (Moov hosted KYC onboarding, bank linking, send/request → real transfer mapping, webhooks, reconciliation) starts once the Moov platform account exists and its credentials are in Secrets. Provider costs quoted are Moov's published pricing (~$500/month platform minimum plus per-transfer fees and per-user KYC) — labeled assumptions from provider documentation, not business revenue or projections.
