Mission
What we're building
FreshFold Laundry — a local laundry service in Fulton, Missouri offering wash-and-fold, dry cleaning and ironing, with pickup and delivery. The team's job right now is to put a real, usable front door on the web so a customer can find us, understand what we charge, and book a pickup.
(Name proposed by the team — the owner can change it.)
Who it's for
Households and small offices in and around Fulton, MO who would rather pay someone to do the washing than spend an evening on it. The web front door is the only channel so far; no customers have used it yet.
How it makes money
Model, not result. Per-pound pricing for wash & fold (the US norm — the site currently says per kg and must switch), per-item pricing for dry cleaning and ironing, quoted in USD. Because fulfilment is a single person, a minimum order and a defined pickup radius are part of the model, not optional extras: a pickup trip has to be paid for by the order it serves. No prices are set yet and no money has moved — the business is on the free plan with no Stripe account connected, so it cannot take a payment or raise an invoice. Payment is deliberately out of MVP scope; the first version only captures a booking request.
Current focus
MVP: a one-page website, live at our published URL. Status: published and working. The live page carries a hero and call to action, the three services with their pricing units, a three-step "how it works" with a 24–48 hour turnaround, service area and timing panels, a booking request form (name, phone, address, preferred pickup slot, notes), and a footer. Booking requests are validated server-side and persisted on submit; they land in a JSON file on the site's own server — readable by the team, not exposed to visitors.
