Overview
PlanForge AI is a design workspace that transforms existing project materials into editable, measurable drawings. Users upload sketches, images, PDFs, diagrams, CAD files, Civil 3D files, GIS files, or take a photo—then edit and refine the digitized result rather than starting from scratch. The workspace includes CAD-like drafting tools, GIS context layers, AI-assisted editing via natural-language commands, measurement controls, and exports compatible with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and GIS workflows. All current exports are labeled as prototypes until real parsers and validators are implemented.
Mission
PlanForge AI
What we're building
PlanForge AI is an editing-first design workspace for turning existing project material into editable, measurable drawings. Users can drop in sketches, images, PDFs, diagrams, CAD files, Civil 3D files, and GIS files—or take a picture—then review and refine the resulting drawing instead of starting from scratch. The long-term product combines AutoCAD-like drafting tools, GIS layers and context, AI-assisted digitization/editing through natural-language instructions, measurement/accuracy controls, and export/download compatibility with target CAD, Civil 3D, and GIS workflows.
Current focus
The MVP iteration will communicate multi-format intake, camera capture, a CAD/GIS-aware editing workspace, AI assistant instructions, measurement metrics, and export targets. Users should be able to select a target workflow and download a clearly labeled prototype export artifact. Any conversion remains clearly labeled as a prototype/simulated experience until real DWG/DXF/Civil 3D/GIS parsers, exporters, and validation services are implemented.
