Overview
PreLink is a private personal-information vault that lives on your device. Store everything about yourself in one encrypted place—name, address, SSN, bank account details, tax-filing preferences, and personal info—then autofill job applications and new-hire onboarding forms with a few clicks. Your profile data never leaves your device; it's encrypted locally using AES-256-GCM and stored only in your browser, with no online accounts or server-side database. This is the MVP version focused on the core autofill workflow: create a vault with a passphrase, enter your profile once, and use it to populate job applications and tax/direct-deposit forms without retyping.

What we're building
OneProfile is a private personal-information vault that lives on the user's own device. Users store everything about themselves in one place — name, address, SSN, bank account and routing numbers, tax-filing preferences, and personal details (sex, height, weight, eye/hair color, race) — encrypted on their device, then use it to autofill job applications and new-hire onboarding forms (tax filings, direct deposit, personal info) with a few clicks.
Core principle — local-first
Profile data never leaves the user's device. It is stored as a single encrypted blob (AES-256-GCM, key derived from the user's passphrase via Web Crypto) in the browser's storage, not on a server. There are no online accounts, no server-side database, and no uploaded personal data in the MVP. Because the vault lives in the browser, it is tied to that device and browser: clearing browser data or forgetting the passphrase makes the vault unrecoverable, and switching devices requires an export/import flow. Autofill happens from the device, into forms built into OneProfile itself, or (via the browser extension) into external pages — nothing ever touches a network.
