Paid Lessons

Overview
Your first paid lesson by Friday. Teach something you already know: tutoring, music, a language, a sport, a game. The team builds a lesson page where people pay up front for a taster lesson at a price you choose, and drafts the messages you send. The aim is your first lesson paid for by someone else within the week, then the same client coming back.
Mission
What we're building
A one-page lesson page for one thing the owner can teach: a school subject, an instrument, a language, a sport, a game, a craft. People pay up front for a taster lesson at a price the owner chooses (we suggest $14), then agree a time with the owner.
Who it's for
People the owner already knows, or who already follow them, who want to learn what the owner knows: friends, younger students, parents, neighbours, a club, a group chat. The first clients almost always come from the owner's own circle.
How it makes money
Lessons at the owner's price through payment links on the business's own Stripe account: a taster lesson first, then a pack of four lessons for clients who want to keep going. After paying, the client goes straight to a confirmation page that says how the time gets agreed.
Current focus
The first paid lesson this week, in this order:
- Agree what the owner teaches, how long a lesson is, who they would offer it to, the price, and how times get agreed.
- Start Stripe setup on the Finance tab straight away, while the page is built.
- Build the lesson page and the confirmation page.
