Overview
Vow & Venue is a website that is designed to help people find their perfect destination wedding, or make it easy for people to search for a wedding venue in a certain location. Venues are able to add their site to the website, so when people search a location of where the want to get married they have all the options right in front of them! Venues list their prices, their capacity, dates that they have open for booking, and a way to attach links, and URLs to their socials for people to look more into the venue. there's an option for premium with this. Wedding venues who create an account though this website can pay a subscription of $20 a month for more images to add, an unlimited description on what their venue brings and has to offer, and the option to use the website directly as a way people can book with them.

What we're building
A two-sided wedding venue marketplace: venue owners list their venues free, with limits, and pay for a premium upgrade that unlocks more photos, a longer venue description and booking through the site. Couples searching for a wedding destination find, compare, and shortlist venues in one place.
Beyond the MVP we intend to add availability and date requests — a calendar each venue keeps, and a way for couples to ask about specific dates through us. Booking that takes payment (deposits, confirmed reservations) is a later step again, not part of the MVP, and is now also the headline premium feature.
Owner direction (2026-09-22): the owner intends to sell this site once it is where they want it. A buyer would decide for themselves how venue submissions are received and handled. The practical consequence for us: keep the intake flow simple, honest and legible on its own terms rather than over-fitting it to one operator's process.
