Overview

BenefitGuard is a software platform that helps individuals understand and manage SNAP, Medicaid, housing assistance, and other benefits-related paperwork. Users can upload benefit notices and receive simplified explanations, deadline reminders, and task checklists to help avoid missed recertification deadlines and interruptions in benefits. Customers are charged only if they choose to subscribe to a premium monthly plan that includes advanced reminders and account features.

What we're building

LifeAdmin AI starts with BenefitGuard — snap a photo of any SNAP / Medicaid / housing letter and get plain-English actions, deadlines, and reminders so you never lose benefits to paperwork.

Current focus

MVP: a mobile-responsive landing page + clickable demo for BenefitGuard — upload a sample recertification letter → see AI summary, deadline, checklist, and SMS reminder signup. This is what we build and validate now before auth, storage, or full AI pipelines.

Full-stack engineer: Next.js/React/Tailwind/TypeScript frontend, Node.js/PostgreSQL backend, Stripe, auth, object storage, AI/OCR integration. Owns the whole build from landing page to deployed MVP.

Setup

Customers visit the BenefitGuard website and create an account or join the waitlist. BenefitGuard helps users understand benefit-related notices, track recertification deadlines, and receive reminders for SNAP, Medicaid, housing assistance, and similar programs. Premium customers subscribe to a monthly plan to access additional reminder, tracking, and document management features. Services are delivered online through the BenefitGuard web application after signup.uired.
