Mission
Ledgerly — Business Plan
What we're building
Ledgerly — a small web tool that lets a business log every expense in one place and see exactly where the money goes. Sign in, add an expense in seconds, read the running total and each month's total by category, set a monthly budget and see the month's spend against it, correct a mistake, and hand an accountant a CSV. The app is built and serving at both the preview and the published link.
Storage is real. Both links read and write the same hosted Postgres database, so an expense added on one appears on the other immediately.
Who it's for
A sole trader or small business keeping its own books: the person who pays the bills and hands everything to an accountant at the end of the year. One account, their own expenses, nothing to install.
The owner wants it to work for personal budgeting too. That is a real shift in audience and is not built yet: the plan is a choice at sign-up (business or personal) that sets the default categories and the words the app uses — the expense, budget and total machinery is the same for both. How the landing page speaks to two audiences, and whether a personal user pays the same price, are the owner's calls.
How it makes money
The owner set two prices on 2026-09-30, both applying after the free period:
- $7.99 USD a month, billed monthly
- $95.00 USD a year, billed yearly
