Overview
PrequalPilot is a web app that centralizes one verified company profile for specialty-trade subcontractors and auto-drafts answers to general contractors' prequalification and safety questionnaires. Subcontractors typically retype the same licensing, insurance, EMR, OSHA, and project-reference answers into dozens of different GC forms per year. PrequalPilot types it once into a guided profile builder, then pastes any questionnaire and gets drafted answers grounded in that profile. The buyer gets reusable answers, a gap checklist for questions the profile cannot support, and an export they can copy directly into the GC's portal or PDF.

What we're building
PrequalPilot is a web app that keeps one verified company profile for a specialty-trade subcontractor and turns it into drafted answers to any general contractor's prequalification form or safety/compliance questionnaire. Subcontractors retype the same licensing, insurance, EMR/OSHA and project-reference answers into a different GC's PDF or portal for every bid — PrequalPilot types it once and reuses it.
Who it's for
US specialty-trade subcontractors of roughly 15–200 employees — electrical, mechanical, concrete, sitework — that bid to general contractors and must qualify with each one. The person who actually fills the forms is a safety or office administrator, not the field crew.
How it makes money
Hypothesis, not yet built and not yet tested: a monthly per-company subscription (one workspace = one subcontractor), priced in the range a company already spends per year satisfying GC qualification paperwork. Nothing is priced, no payment provider is connected and no money has moved — the business is on the free plan with no Stripe connected, so it cannot take a payment at all yet. Billing comes after the drafting proves good on real forms.
