Overview
RenoScout helps buyers of old houses understand their true cost of ownership by combining asking price with estimated renovation costs. The app displays a dashboard of real opportunities, breaking down renovation needs by category (structure, roof, electrics, plumbing, insulation, finishes) so buyers can compare total costs and identify the best deals. A built-in cost estimator uses per-m² benchmarks by work type to estimate renovation costs for any property, and an automated news scout continuously finds and flags new opportunities from public real estate sources and listings.

What we're building
A clean web app that helps potential buyers of old houses compare renovation ("restructuration") costs: each property shows its asking price plus an estimated renovation cost by work type (structure, roof, electrics, plumbing, insulation, finishes), so buyers can compare total cost of ownership and spot the best opportunities at a glance.
Current focus — MVP
The first working version we build now: a live web app (frontend + backend) served at our public URL, with:
- Dashboard comparing ~10 real old-house opportunities — price, surface area, renovation estimate breakdown, and total cost.
- Cost estimator — per-m² benchmarks by work type and condition, so any house can be estimated.
- News Scout feed — the first version of an agent that scans public news/listing sources for new opportunities and flags them on the dashboard.
