Overview
Rate a Date is a privacy-first community platform where people share anonymous or pseudonymous experiences from their dates and learn from others' stories. The platform uses structured ratings and filters by broad geographic areas—not exact locations—to help users find relevant experiences while protecting privacy. Buyers get a lightweight MVP with a landing page and product concept demo that shows how anonymous sharing, coarse-area browsing, community guidelines, and reporting work together to create a safe, respectful space.
Mission
What we're building
Rate a Date is a privacy-first community where people can anonymously or pseudonymously share structured, respectful experiences from dates and browse practical lessons from others. Users should be able to filter experiences by a coarse area they select or share, without exposing exact locations. The product will emphasize consent, safety, reporting, moderation, and avoiding identifying or defamatory details.
The product must not support unrestricted “anything goes” posts or non-consensual images of identifiable people. Any future photo capability would require explicit consent, non-identifying content rules, moderation, and a removal/reporting process.
Current focus
Restart the MVP as a lightweight landing page and product concept demo that explains anonymous sharing, coarse-area browsing/filtering, structured ratings, community guidelines, and reporting. The MVP should recommend excluding photos initially; if the owner chooses to pursue images later, design a strict consent-and-moderation workflow before implementation.
