Helps with people that are unable to work full time pick up day-to-day shifts in lets say construction for example that they go to school 2 days out of the week and cant work a mon-fri so they pick up day-to-day shifts without being on a weekly consistent contract.
Mission
What we're building
ShiftMatch is a lightweight two-sided marketplace that matches workers with open availability (trade school students, EMT trainees, part-timers) to local contractors and staffing agencies who need same-day or same-week shift coverage. Workers post the days they're free; employers post the shifts they need filled — and the app surfaces the right matches.
Current focus
The MVP: a simple web app where a worker can submit their availability (name, location, trade/skills, and which days they're open) and an employer can post a gig (date, location, trade needed, pay offered). Both sides see a live board of open listings. No accounts, no payments, no notifications yet — just the core matching loop, running on the team website.
