Mission
What we're building
A cost estimation and proposal tool for small construction and trade contractors (paving, grading, landscaping, general subs). Users enter a job description — scope of work, square footage, materials — and BidFlow generates a structured cost estimate: labor, materials, equipment, markup, and a total bid price. Export estimates as clean, branded PDF proposals ready to send to clients.
Current focus — MVP
A web app with simple signup/login. Core loop: estimate builder form → auto-calculated bid → PDF export. Dashboard lists saved estimates with duplicate/edit. Users set their own labor rates, markup %, and material prices in settings. Clean, professional UI that a contractor would trust to send to a client. One user account per company for v1 — no teams, no payments.
Tech
TanStack Start (React + Vite + Tailwind) with a Postgres database for users and estimates. Client-side PDF generation. Simple email/password auth.
