Overview
PermitPilot helps small residential contractors and remodelers prepare permit applications by turning project descriptions into structured checklists of required documents, measurements, and unanswered questions. It's designed to clarify what you need before submitting to your local jurisdiction—not to provide legal or code approval. The outcome: contractors know exactly what information and documentation to gather before working with their local permitting office.
Mission
PermitPilot
What we're building
PermitPilot is an AI-assisted permit-prep workspace for small residential contractors and remodelers. It turns a project description into a clear, jurisdiction-ready checklist of likely documents, measurements, and unanswered questions—without pretending to provide legal or code approval.
Current focus
The MVP landing page and interactive intake demo are live. The next focus is demand validation: drive qualified contractors to the demo, observe which project types and intake fields they use, and collect explicit feedback before adding jurisdiction-specific automation or account/email workflows. Keep the experience self-contained, honest about uncertainty, and optimized for learning.
Milestone
Published MVP includes a responsive landing page, project-type selection, location and scope intake, generated sample checklist, unanswered questions, email-free CTA, and prominent preparation-only disclaimer. The published site currently returns HTTP 200.
