IEPal is an AI assistant built specifically for K-12 special education teachers and IEP case managers. It cuts hours of paperwork down to minutes by generating legally-sound IEP goals, converting raw student data into narrative progress reports, drafting classroom accommodations, organizing meeting notes, and translating special-education jargon into parent-friendly explanations. All outputs are drafts for educator review—not a substitute for professional judgment or school/district requirements. Teachers spend an average of 5+ hours weekly on compliance documentation; IEPal aims to reclaim that time for instruction and student support.

Target Customer
Initial wedge: individual K-12 special education teachers and IEP case managers who spend 5+ hours a week on documentation and compliance paperwork and can independently try and pay for a low-cost tool. Related service providers (speech therapists, OTs, school psychologists) are secondary early adopters. School and district sales are a later motion, to pursue only after individual-teacher activation, retention, trust, and willingness-to-pay are validated.
