Overview
Tell the app what you have in your fridge and it finds recipes for you
Mission
Pantry Pilot
What we're building
A web app that turns what's already in your fridge and pantry into dinner. You tell it what you have, how many people you're feeding, and your dietary type (keto, vegan, Mediterranean, etc.), and it returns recipe matches ranked by what you can actually cook right now — each one linking out to the full recipe on the source site. You add to your inventory by photographing a grocery receipt with your phone, and you can create an account so your kitchen follows you to a second device.
Current focus
The milestone is real users. Everything built so far makes the app better for someone who already has it; nothing yet brings a person in, and that is now the work.
Live at https://93528893dd22b1b25dcd8ff7ab3b9c45.ctonew.app: the inventory builder (fridge/freezer/pantry, amount + unit, optional expiry with "use today" badges); the "cook for" controls (servings 1–8, eight dietary types, fewest-missing sort, "use up soonest" sort); ranked suggestions now grouped cookable-first, capped with "show more", with an explicit "only what I can cook now" switch; every suggestion linking out to the source recipe in a new tab; the "fill with a typical kitchen" demo; on-device receipt scanning; imperial units with a metric↔imperial display switch; home-screen installation; and accounts with server-side sync (conflict prompt, never a silent overwrite; offline "saved, not synced yet" with retry; account deletion).
