Overview
HitchHub is a peer-to-peer trailer rental marketplace—similar to Airbnb but for trailers. Renters browse listings by trailer type (utility, enclosed, dump, boat, etc.), see photos and daily rates, and submit booking requests. Owners post their trailers through a simple form. The result: a working marketplace website where supply and demand connect locally, with payment processing to follow post-MVP.
Mission
HitchHub — Trailer Rental Marketplace
What we're building
A peer-to-peer marketplace where trailer owners list their trailers (utility, enclosed, dump, boat, etc.) and renters nearby find, compare, and book them by the day — think Airbnb, but for trailers.
Current focus
The MVP: a live website a customer can actually use. A renter can browse trailer listings with photos, specs, and daily prices, open a trailer's details, and send a booking request to the owner. An owner can list a trailer through a simple form. Bookings are handled by request for now — real payments come after the MVP works.
MVP scope:
- Landing page — what HitchHub is and how it works for owners and renters
- Browse trailer listings (photos, specs, daily price, filter by type)
- Trailer detail view with a booking request
- "List your trailer" form for owners
