Overview
GrownUp Quest is a playful web app that teaches kids ages 7–12 real-life skills through interactive game-like quests. Kids complete hands-on missions in laundry, cooking, money, tidying, and hygiene—each with tap/drag interactions, friendly feedback, and rewards. The MVP includes a colorful home screen and a complete Laundry Quest lesson where kids sort clothes, choose detergent amounts, and run the machine, earning stars and badges. Launch the app live and start gathering feedback from real players.
Mission
GrownUp Quest — Business Plan
What we're building
A bright, playful web app where kids (roughly 7–12) learn real adult life skills — laundry, cooking basics, money, tidying up, hygiene, time — through short interactive "quests" that feel like a game, not school. Every skill is taught as a hands-on mission with instant encouragement and rewards.
Current focus — MVP
The first playable version of GrownUp Quest, built now:
- A colorful, kid-friendly home screen ("Level 1: Lifeskills Quest") with one big Start button.
- The Laundry Quest — a complete click-through lesson: sort lights from darks, choose the right detergent dose, run the machine — with tap/drag interactions, friendly feedback, and a star/badge reward at the end.
- Tiles for 3+ upcoming quests (Cooking Basics, Money & Change, Tidying Up) marked "coming soon".
- Published live on the team's website so kids can play it immediately.
That's the whole first goal: get one delightful quest in front of real kids and learn from how they play it before building more.
