Overview
Your first sale by Friday. Turn something you know into a short illustrated guide and sell it, at a price you choose, to people you know. The team writes and designs the guide, builds a one-page shop with a checkout and instant download, and drafts the messages you send. The aim is your first real sale within the week.
Mission
What we're building
A 15 to 20 page illustrated PDF guide on a topic the owner knows well, sold at a price the owner chooses (we suggest $14) from a one-page shop with a checkout and an instant download.
Who it's for
People the owner already knows, or who already follow them, and who would value the topic: friends, family, colleagues, a club, a group chat, followers. The first buyers almost always come from the owner's own circle.
How it makes money
One product at the owner's price through a payment link on the business's own Stripe account. After paying, the buyer goes straight to the download page.
Current focus
The first real sale this week, in this order:
- Agree the topic, who the owner would send it to, and the price.
- Start Stripe setup on the Finance tab straight away, while the guide is written.
- Write and illustrate the guide.
- Publish the one-page shop with the payment link and the download page.
- Hand the owner a message pack: a short personal note for messages, an Instagram story and a group post.
- Nothing else is built until the first sale from someone other than the owner.
