Market research delivered a CONDITIONAL verdict (memo: /home/team/shared/renewly-market-research.md): the category has proven paying demand (SSLMate Cert Spotter has sold standalone cert monitoring at $15/mo for 11+ years), but free/bundled alternatives (UptimeRobot gives the same 30/14/7-day alerts away free on 50 monitors) mean the MVP must win a specific niche, not a commodity fight. The owner chose to proceed with a cheap validation launch instead of shutting down.
