Stepwise: ADHD-Friendly Task Breakdown Tool

Overview
Stepwise breaks overwhelming tasks into small, concrete 5–10 minute sub-steps so you can focus on one step at a time without the paralyzing feeling of "where do I even start?" Type any big task—like "clean the garage" and get back a bite-sized action plan. Toggle "focus mode" to see only the next step, check it off, and move on. Built specifically for ADHD brains, Stepwise removes the decision paralysis that makes starting hard.
Mission
What we're building
Stepwise is a web-based productivity toolkit built for ADHD brains. The core tool breaks overwhelming tasks into small, concrete 5–10 minute sub-steps, then lets users focus on one step at a time with a "just show me the next step" mode that hides everything else — reducing the overwhelm that makes starting hard.
Current focus — MVP
The first usable version: a single-page web app where a user types any big task ("clean the garage"), gets back a list of bite-sized sub-steps generated by AI, checks them off as they go, and can toggle "focus mode" to see only the next undone step. That's it — one tool, working end to end, live on the published site. The other tools (focus timer, habit tracker, brain dump organizer) are in the backlog and will ship as follow-on features once the core breakdown tool is solid.
