Overview
Advisor Workflow / Service Operations Platform: (needs more work)
Mission
ServiceLane
What we're building
ServiceLane is a lightweight operations workspace for automotive service advisors. It turns a day's repair orders and customer promises into a prioritized task lane: approvals to chase, technician updates to relay, parts delays to flag, vehicles nearing promised time, and pickups to coordinate.
Who it's for
Primary customers are service advisors and service managers at independent repair shops and small dealership service departments. The product is designed for busy teams that need operational clarity without replacing their existing dealer-management system.
How it works
An advisor adds or pastes a repair-order summary, then ServiceLane organizes work into actionable tasks with urgency, customer-impact context, next action, and due time. Advisors can filter by urgency/status, mark tasks complete, and use a concise customer-update script when they call or text.
Business model
Start with a self-serve SaaS model for small shops: a free local/demo experience to prove the workflow, followed by a paid per-location subscription once shared data, reminders, and integrations are needed. Initial monetization is a target hypothesis, not reported revenue.
Current focus
Build and publish a polished MVP landing page with an interactive sample service-advisor task board. Visitors should be able to load a realistic shop day, add a repair-order task, filter and complete tasks, and see the customer-update script. Keep the MVP local-only with no backend or credentials, and include a clear request-access/waitlist CTA.
