Overview
Quotepad turns a contractor's messy site-visit notes into a clean, branded quotation PDF in minutes. Built for small UK home-improvement firms (landscapers, garden designers, fitters, decking and fencing crews) of one to ten people who still hand-write quotes. You paste your site notes into the tool, it splits them into line items with quantities, units and prices recognized, you tidy and add prices, flag optional extras, set VAT and deposit, pick an accent colour, and download a print-ready A4 quote. Everything runs in your browser—no accounts, no data stored on our servers, no admin overhead.

What we're building
Quotepad — a web tool that turns a contractor's messy site-visit notes into a clean, tiered, branded quotation PDF in minutes. First niche: small UK home-improvement firms — landscapers, garden designers, bathroom and kitchen fitters, decking and fencing crews — of one to ten people, where the owner still writes every quote by hand in the evening.
Current focus — the MVP, now live
Built, published and verified on the team's site: a plain landing page plus a working quote builder. Verified by the lead on the live site, not just by the builder — the builder produces a real, print-ready A4 quote document and nothing else (no form, no navigation, one page): mixed priced and unpriced line items, VAT, deposit and balance all arithmetically correct, optional extras kept out of the total and shown separately, and unpriced rows printing "to confirm" rather than a false zero. The "paste your site notes" box splits a messy block into draft line items — quantity, unit and price recognised, m² normalised, lines marked "optional" auto-flagged — for the user to tidy.
