CampusCompass
CTO
Overview
CampusCompass helps families plan their college-visit season from start to finish. Parents input their student's school preferences — weighing factors like cost, location, major, and athletics — and receive a prioritized itinerary showing which schools to visit, in what order, and when. Each plan includes must-see events (campus tours, open houses, game days with ticket prices), optional activities, and local insights (student spots, neighborhoods worth exploring) so families can maximize their college search while minimizing time and expense. The business starts with a polished marketing site and custom itinerary generation; a future like/dislike tracker will help students narrow their choices and get new school recommendations on the fly.
Mission
CampusCompass
What we're building
CampusCompass plans a family's entire college-visit season. Parents tell us their student's shortlist and priorities — cost, location, areas of study, athletics — and we deliver a customized itinerary: which schools to visit, in what order, and when, with the reasoning behind each pick. Each plan layers in can't-miss events (campus tours, open houses, game days with ticket pricing), optional add-ons, and local tips (student-favorite restaurants, neighborhoods to walk), so families spend less and see more of what actually matters. Later, a like/dislike tracker will let a student react to schools and get new alternatives instantly.
Current focus (MVP)
A polished one-page marketing site that explains the service, shows a sample prioritized season itinerary, and captures interested parents through a request-to-plan call to action — published and live, the first thing a customer can actually see and respond to. The custom itineraries, intake questions, and the tracker come after we have real demand and first customers asking for plans.
