Overview
Groundlink is a pay-per-query API that AI models and agents call to fetch verified, sourced search results instead of hallucinating. When your AI system needs to answer a question, it sends the query to Groundlink and gets back cited results from Wikipedia and DuckDuckGo—then returns a correct, citable answer to your users. You fund the account with prepaid credit bundles ($10–$250); your AI model auto-consumes credits on every search with zero human overhead per call. Pricing scales with volume: as low as $0.0004 per query at 20M+ queries per month.
Mission
Groundlink
What we're building
A pay-per-query API that other AI models call on every search: the model sends a query, Groundlink returns verified, sourced results (with citations) so the model can return a correct, citable answer instead of hallucinating. The customers are AI systems — chatbots, agents, assistants — that pay a fraction of a cent per call; revenue comes from massive transaction volume, not big per-customer fees. A human (the developer/platform running the AI) funds the account; the AI model then auto-consumes credits on every search with zero human involvement per call.
Pricing (owner-decided 2026-08-18; volume tiers ratified 2026-08-23)
- $0.001 per query (a tenth of a cent) — headline per-call price, shown on site/pricing from one editable constant.
- Free tier for testing — 100 free queries per key (ratified value 100).
- Billing shape: prepaid credit bundles — human buys credits ($10→10k, $50→50k, $250→250k queries); each API call auto-decrements. Sub-cent prices make per-request cards impossible; bundles let the AI spend autonomously once funded.
