Overview
BudgetWise is a fintech-style budgeting web app that helps users take control of their finances. Users enter their income, track expenses by category, and instantly see their spending breakdown, savings rate, remaining balance, and personalized 50/30/20 budget recommendations. The app includes a responsive dashboard with real-time calculations, interactive charts, savings goal planning, and works seamlessly on desktop and mobile devices.

What we're building
BudgetWise is a modern fintech-style web app where users enter income, track categorized expenses, and instantly see spending, savings, remaining balance, and personalized 50/30/20 budget guidance. It will include responsive dashboard cards, interactive charts, financial insights, savings-goal planning, persistence, and light/dark mode.
Current focus
Build the first usable MVP in the existing site: a responsive BudgetWise dashboard with income and expense CRUD, real-time calculations, 50/30/20 recommendations, key summary cards, and local-storage persistence. The first version should be fully clickable and usable on desktop and mobile, with the core charts and goal calculator included where they fit cleanly.
