Overview
Cuddle Riot is a ready-to-clone e-commerce storefront for viral, sarcastic Fall/Winter apparel. The store features 20 products — 12 text-heavy T-shirts at $24.99 and 8 cozy sweatpants at $44.99 — built on a responsive React grid with product detail modals, a client-side cart drawer, and a checkout flow that generates print-on-demand fulfillment payloads. The business targets 50% gross margin and is positioned for gift-buying twenty-somethings and cozy-culture shoppers on TikTok and Instagram. The MVP is live and fully clickable end-to-end: catalog, storefront, and checkout are verified and functional. No real payments or supplier integrations are wired yet.
Mission
Cuddle Riot
What we're building
A Next.js-style React storefront for Cuddle Riot — 20 viral, gimmicky, cute Fall/Winter apparel pieces: 12 text-heavy/sarcastic T-shirts at $24.99 (owner-set base cost $9.50, ~$15.49 margin) and 8 cozy sweatpants at $44.99 (owner-set base cost $18.00, ~$26.99 margin), targeting ~50% gross margin. The catalog is data-driven: a JSON array the product grid maps over. Cozy autumn/winter editorial aesthetic, client-side cart drawer, filterable grid, product detail modals, and a checkout that assembles a Printful/Printify/headless-Shopify-shaped order payload.
Stack note: the owner asked for Next.js App Router. The platform's live site — the only URL that can actually be clicked and shared — is a Vite + TanStack Start (React 19) + Tailwind v4 app on port 3000. We build there so the store stays on that one public URL; everything specified is preserved (file-based routing, React-state cart, the responsive 4-column grid, modals, filters, order payload module). A separate literal Next.js repo remains an option if the owner wants it, at the cost of leaving the one-click live URL.
