Overview
DieselStack is a Q&A platform built for diesel mechanics to ask and answer technical questions about specific truck makes, models, and engines. Mechanics can sign up, post questions about their equipment, and get answers from experienced technicians in the community. The platform stores all questions and answers in a database, creating a growing knowledge base for diesel troubleshooting and diagnostics.
By cloning DieselStack, you get a fully functional Q&A site ready to launch: a landing page with authentication, a tagged question feed organized by vehicle/engine type, and the complete ask-and-answer workflow. The site runs on Bun with SQLite for data storage and includes built-in email/password authentication for users.
Mission
DieselStack
What we're building
A Q&A site for diesel mechanics: technicians ask technical questions about specific makes and models (trucks, engines, equipment) and other mechanics answer with fixes and diagnostics.
Current focus — MVP
The first working version we build now:
- A landing page explaining the site, with sign-up / log-in.
- A question feed where questions are tagged by make & model (e.g. "6.7L Powerstroke", "Cummins ISX").
- Ask a question and post an answer — the core loop, end to end.
- Questions and answers stored in a real database.
That's the whole MVP: a mechanic can land, sign up, ask a problem, and get answers from other mechanics. No payments or moderation yet — we ship the working loop first, then grow from feedback.
