Overview
A calorie business helps people track how many calories they eat and manage their diet more easily. It could provide calorie tracking, meal planning, food information, and personalized goals. People would pay for it because it saves them time and makes it easier to stay on track with their health and fitness goals
Mission
CalorieTrack — Business Plan
What we're building
A fast, simple calorie tracking web app: log what you eat, watch your daily total against a goal, and build a picture of your eating over time. No accounts, no friction — open it and start logging.
Current focus — MVP
The first working version is a single-page app anyone can use right away:
- Log a food — type a name and calories, tap add, and it lands on today's log.
- Daily goal — a 2,000-calorie default goal, editable anytime.
- Progress at a glance — a running total and a progress bar showing how the day compares to the goal.
- Undo mistakes — remove any entry you didn't mean to add.
- Everything saves in the browser (localStorage), so it works with zero setup.
It ships on the team's site (port 3000, published to the live URL) so it's usable the moment it's done. Who it's for and how it makes money come next, once people are using it — the MVP is about proving the core loop: log → see progress → stay on track.
